Vieques, Puerto Rico

I rarely share my personal travel here, but I thought I'd break my streak and share my 35mm travel photos from our dear friends wedding in Puerto Rico. We flew into San Juan and stayed in a hostel the first night before boarding a ferry to take us to the island where our friends were to be married- Vieques! We stayed in an amazing beach house and spent the days leading up to her wedding beach hopping, eating local food, and dancing until all hours of the morning.

I designed their wedding invitation as a gift to them and also had a heavy hand in designing her flowers for her wedding day! She wanted to use local flowers, so the morning of her wedding, her bridesmaids and I foraged for hours around the island. I even made flowers for her hair!

I put down my camera for her wedding day to stand up as a bridesmaid. I can't tell you how wonderful it felt to just watch her get married to the love of her life. There are no photos of said bride and groom in this post from their wedding day because I was too busy living the moments with them. I danced that night until my feet hurt. Vieques, Puerto Rico is one of the most beautiful places on this planet! I highly recommend this spot if you are looking to get married in Puerto Rico.
