2025 Year in Review: The Year of Intention
Welcome to my 2025 year in review! Each year, I love sitting down and reflecting on what I accomplished, what my favorite pieces were, and what I learned, where my growth occurred both personally and professionally and take those lessons with me into my next year to keep growing and evolving! I thought I would continue my annual tradition of sharing them here with you. I want to extend a huge thank you to all of you who supported me this year, following along here, purchasing, and viewing both in person and online- and welcome to all my new collectors this...
Shade, Rest, Motherhood: exploring beachscapes through a slower season
There was something magical about moving my studio space this summer into our beloved boathouse that I can’t quite put my finger on… I am so excited to announce the release date of a new body of work, entitled “Onshore”. The title is a play on words of a mother’s perspective at the beach. When I first became a mother, I felt a bit stuck when I would go to the beach. As a self proclaimed beach rat my whole life, growing up in Florida, I would spend hours upon hours laying in the sunshine playing in the sand and...
At home with my “Onshore” Collection
Summer. The middle of the year, full of the longest days, the hottest days, the sunniest days. Every day I found myself in search of shade, shelter, and rest. Someone needs a snack, a nap, a hug. Summer is the season of my biggest output and when my biggest growth occurs. Except it doesn’t always feel like growth, most days it feels like chaos. Beautiful chaos. Sunscreen spattered, dirty feet, sticky popsicle faces, broken shovels, beautiful chaos. No wonder when you look at the ”seasons” of a woman’s life that summer directly corresponds with the season she is a mother....

During the spring of 2023, I started a self directed artist in residency on "Motherhood". You can read more on that residency by clicking the link. A pretty broad topic, but I quickly zeroed in on a few themes I was drawn to explore in my studio, namely: bodies, the female form, and the metamorphosis female bodies go through during pregnancy to bring life into this world. METAMORPHOSIS: For starters, I have always been enamored by the physical expansion my body goes through during pregnancy. This being my third pregnancy, I knew I wanted to devote time to exploring my...
The story behind the chairs…
There’s a fun story behind this piece. These exact chairs were arresting place at one of my favorite beaches after I had given birth to my first baby. Every morning, I would walk down to the beach with the baby in one arm in my cup of coffee and the other. I would see these chairs and I would sit and drink my coffee and nurse the baby and watch the waves crash Off in the distance. This was my first “encounter” With the beach where I wasn’t seeking sun. I was searching for shade shelter and a place to...
