A peek inside my studio...

Behind the scenes of my studio lately. Heavy-bodied acrylics, Oil Pastels, and crayon. These are the tools of my process lately. I love the smell of my brightly-lit studio as I work barefoot on my turquoise studio floors. What has influenced this figure collection you might ask? I am still unsure the exact influence, but I can tell you my Film Portrait work has had quite a bit to do with it for sure! I have had the opportunity to work with so many women the last few years for their engagement session, wedding day, family session, maternity, birth, and newborns sessions... I absolutely love the female figure, and all it's transformations.

This collection is dedicated to my own mother who was always such a presence in my life. I remember her stroking my hair and telling me I was beautiful, as I used to cry regularly about my big curly hair as a teenager, when all my friends had straight hair. Her exact words were, "Some women pay big bucks to have hair like yours". She's always celebrated my passion, my fire, and all the things that make me unique and wonderful. Thank you for being such a wonderful mother to me mom. I adore you.
