4. Private workshops are available. Please fill out the contact form to inquire on availability. At least two weeks advanced notice is required for scheduling purposes and there is no guarantee Andrea can accommodate the request.
About Andrea: Both of Andrea’s parents were artists. Growing up, she remembers vividly at a young age, watching her mother paint. Her Mother and Father ran a studio/retail space and always encouraged her artistic talents from a young age. Andrea was a very talented artist in high school, winning multiple awards at the local art fairs and had her work displayed in the local museum.
Andrea, however, went on to pursue an undergraduate in biology which led her to a career in public health. She lived in Ghana, West Africa during her journey as a peace corps volunteer and went on to pursue a Masters in Public Hearth and work/conduct research in several countries including: Panama, Dominican Republic, Niger, Malawi, and Australia. Andrea has lived and traveled to over 40 countries- most of them in Africa and Central and South America. It is this rich life experience during her formative 20s that led her back around to painting full time when she became a mother in 2016.
During her 20s Andrea worked as a youth pastor in Palm Beach, Florida, worked as a teacher, during her Peace Corps Service in Ghana, and also worked as a outdoor educator for a marine science program in the Florida Keys. She has over 15 years experience working with children.
Andrea is passionate about not only facilitating art workshops with children, but about fostering a creative and playful connection between parents/grandparents and their children. So that creating together doesn’t feel hard or stressful, but rather opens an avenue for deeper connections within the family unit, and fosters a creative outlet for the child to express themselves.
Andrea is excited to welcome you into her studio to play and create together with your children.
